An Engineer in Indl. & Prod. Engineering from BMS College of Engg, Bangalore, he is also a dual major with Masters in Finance & Marketing in 1998 from MDI, Gurgaon.
He has been managing the growth of his family owned but professionally run Auto Components business for the last 17 years. As its Managing Director since 2005, he has been independently overseeing the expansion of the manufacturing & exports business.
The major in Finance & Marketing from MDI Gurgaon equipped him with understanding of the risk side in any investment, imparted knowledge of various valuation models to understand the fair value and assess the marketing & growth potential of the company. He was instrumental in conducting first all India portfolio management game offering trading in derivatives, metals, agri commodities etc in 1997 and 1998 in collaboration with Business World and CNBC.
Armed with learnings from manufacturing, marketing & investing areas, he has been focusing on old, but rarely used investing philosophy of investing with an aim of generating monthly returns. He has been refining his investment models since many years and has been generating good returns for the last 6-7 years for his personal and family office investments. While he has strong understanding of the stocks across many sectors, he has built specific strength in the understanding of investments in Manufacturing, Automobile, Steel & Finance sector given his background in auto components manufacturing coupled with an Engineering in Industrial & Production.
